Fitness: Staying on Track. Full of Excitement!

Jul 1, 2015 | 0 comments

So I’m super excited this week because we’re getting ready to go on vacation. Yeah!

It’s so desperately needed.

We’re headed to my most favorite beach, Siesta Key, FL.

Concentration is not my friend right now. I’ve had such a hard time concentrating at work, because I just keep thinking about all the things I have to do to get ready. Plus, as I said, I’m super excited.

Last night we got the kids pretty much packed. Getting teenagers to get up and move is not an easy task, even when we’re getting ready for vaca. Geesh. They’re on their own little schedule. Always. But we got it done.

The house is pretty much ready to go, too. Yep. I’m one of those who cleans everything before I leave for vacation. I just like coming home to a clean house. It’s such a good feeling. Still gotta sweep, mop the kitchen floor, and tidy up.

I’m so excited…I gotta stay on track!

Workouts are still a goal of mine this week even with all the excitement and lack of concentration. I’ve been doing some quick HIIT workouts in order to get them in. With the short attention span I’ve got going on, these seem to be doing the trick.

  • Shaun T’s 5Min EXTRA Workouts have been a great help. Do you ever do these or know about them? I follow him on fb and Instagram. He’s a great motivator. I’ve never done his Insanity workout. Have you? I’ve heard it’s a killer; the awesome kind of killer. 🙂
  • Sugarysixpack with Niki has helped out too with her awesome quick exercise routines. Check her out on Instagram or YouTube.

On the trip I want to stay on track with my eating habits. I know I’m going to stray some or maybe even a lot. Yikes! Making some homemade treats and planning ahead a little will help out. I even put an order in with my mom and dad to have smoothie goodies ready for when I get there. Lol. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

For the road I’m making some homemade granola bars and pumpkin muffins. Thought I’d share this awesome recipe from the 100 Days of Real Food cookbook. It’s her pumpkin muffin recipe and it’s quick and easy to make.

If I get a chance, I’ll share some pix from vaca.

What are you doing this summer? How do you get things done when you’re excited and can’t wait for your fun time to start? Leave me a comment. I’d love to hear from you.

Love ya,

Beth
